I think that we have to remember they may have twisted Tony’s character as much as they did Dave’s. None of us know any of these guys personally. |

The thing is this show is so scripted or FAKE....that you don't even know if dave was really fired from Carlile trucking! You don't even know if he is a jackass that is a good driver, but cannot get along with other people? That was the way the show portrayed him, but in reality? Who knows? |

Got along fine in India, got along fine in Bolivia, had one major problem with the wrong person in Alaska. That should tell you all you need to know, he pissed off Tony and Tony set him up to be fired, even lying to Lane that he made an unsafe pass that was caught on camera as...not being an unsafe pass. Watching 2 shows tonight, the difference between Dave in Bolivia and Dave in Alaska was night and day. |

One little point, Lane told Dave, he heard from a couple of people that when Dave passed Maya and left the convoy behind, he made the pass with a 4 wheeler coming at him.???? And I remember Maya telling Lisa the same thing, but we never saw that footage of the narrow miss with the 4 wheeler during this infamous pass. Surely if there was an on coming vehicle, history channel would have showed it, they would not have passed on the chance to make Dave look even worse, would they? I think the hole thing was hog wash from start to finish. |

I thought when Dave was making the pass I saw a four wheeler out the windshield of his truck, and for some reason I thought it was the camera crew. I may have to re-watch it, if I can find the episode. |

How much of THAT was SCRIPTED? How do we really know they fired dave or that the whole "drama" was real? There is just so much of this show that is questionable and you never know if it is real or scripted to be that way. Edited by webe123, Sep 28 2011, 04:37 AM.

Yeah, we aren't there. I go by what Dave says, and give him the benefit of the doubt. If I find out he lies, then I won't, but so far he hasn't. |

It was ALL fake! All of it! It was all part of the Script. 1. Tailgating Maya 2. Passing Maya 3. Passing Tony 4. The "4 wheeler" the never existed,...which Dave even told Carlile it never existed and to watch the footage for themselves. If there was one in front of Dave it was the Camera people in the SUV running in front of him going in the same direction (pointing the camera out the back),...how do you think they shot the video of Dave doing the passing? The camera guy was not sitting on the ice on his but being dragged behind Tony's truck with a rope with a camera on his shoulder. 5. The "firing" itself 6. Tony's attitude,..scripted,...he probably got "paid" to do it 7. Everything fake,...everything scripted,...everything is fictional TV drama, period,...end of story. The drivers are just actors who get to use their real names on the air. They play a "character" which may or may not actually resemble the person's true personality. I suspect they let the Carile office staff, Lisa, Jack Jessie, and Maya pretty much "be themselves" fairly acuartely,...but I doubt there is much trueness in the rest of the shows characters. I suspect that the reason Jack Jessie is not on the show any more (but still drives for Carlile) is probably that they wanted him to pretend to be someone he is not and he probably has enough confidence in himself and in who he is,.. to say "No,..see ya later". |
