I think it was real, Tony set him up. Not to mention, he continued to 'work' after getting fired, for purposes of the show. By that I mean the time he drove the black Ford pickup was after his firing. |

The whole thing sucks if you ask me Frank. Dave was one of the best drivers Carlile had. So, he wasn't the kind of guy that got along with everyone? But it didn't start off that way if you think back. The shop crew and the drivers F'ed with him from the start. Where I work, how you do your job and getting your loads finished each day is top of the chart, not having a friggin' BBQ with the other drivers. Dave would have won the top load count for the season, not Lisa, and he had no problems once he pulled out of the yard. No accidents, no damaged product....nothing. Carlile/Lane sucks! |

Here I go with my bad memory again.. someone posted on here that they couldn't let the "outsider" beat out the Alaskan drivers, so they HAD to find a way to stop him. |

Again, we don't even know if this whole "drama" is real. It could be Tony and dave are friends in "real life". Hugh apparently is not the jerk in real life the History channel makes him out to be...so it would not be a stretch to think that all of this is made up. I know the situations in driving ARE dangerous...but the melo-drama between drivers? I am having my doubts. Reminds me of professional wresting...where the "bad guy" and the "good guy" share a couple of cold ones backstage after going out and acting all mad at each other. I'll also bet that they laugh when they see all the people getting worked up over it too. Kind of like when Jerry Lawler slapped Andy Kaufman on David Letterman. It was a scam to fool the audience. If Lawler had of gotten really mad....he could have easily killed someone as small as Kaufman...no doubt in my mind. This show seems to be the same way in parts. I think Dave said himself he and Tony didn't just get along, so I think the feud between those two was real and not totally scripted. But I think History fueled that feud on purpose by putting those two work together even though they didn't like each other. So I'm not really sure anymore if it was Tony who got Dave fired or if it was History and Thom Beers who just wanted to create some drama. |

Dave is the type of person that if he likes you....you know it, if he don't like you....you know it. IMO Dave did not like Tony. |

All of the above. Dave does not like Tony, at all. If only their first drive would've went better, but alas... |
