I still say Dave's a good driver. He just wants to be left alone! Let the man drive and leave him alone! |

He is a good drive, we saw that in India and I think we will see that again in Bolivia. |

Right?! He just doesn't want to be treated like a baby, which Carlile is doing to him. The man has top load count and made all his drops without problems. I don't blame him for being POed most of the time. |

other than not being a team player, Dave has made none of the mistakes Ray did last year and if he did, they aren't showing the footage. He's up there driving his ass off and doesn't care about being one of the 'cool kids' like Maya obviouly does. She's getting pretty annoying. |

If Dave screwed up, you know damn well it would be shown.. so even with the piss poor editing we can see he's doing something right, but they still won't let him be. If he was put through their "training" with a better trainer, and then given a truck to go to work with and they left him alone he would have been just fine. Personally, I think he got screwed from the start. |

Y'all have made some good posts and Peterbilt is right, they definitely would have shown any mishaps from Dave. Well, you have one rookie who always says the right thing and is shown very positively, the other one who says all the wrong things and is shown as bad as they can pull off...yeah sure I believe that lol. As for Tony, he can hide behind the contract clause that they can't show Carlile drivers in a bad light, so he can run Dave down and Dave can't defend himself without looking like the bad guy. |

I can understand Carlile’s concern for not showing their drivers in a poor light. Up here competition is red hot for what we call consolidators. I guess I should explain Consolidators to you folks. Carlile and companies like it including Span Alaska have terminals in Kent Washington. When you order freight from a distributer in the lower 48 they truck it normally for free to Kent Washington. From their businesses hire a consolidator to move the freight to Alaska. Businesses normally try to consolidate all their freight in Washington as the shipping fee goes down the more weight you have. Once the freight is in the yard in Kent it is placed on Barges to be shipped up the inside passage to Whittier Alaska. From there it is trucked or piggy backed to Fairbanks or Anchorage. My boss thought he was getting a good shipping rate with Span Alaska but I got suspicious and called to get rates for shipping up a piano. Guess what, Joe Blow got the same shipping rate as The Woodway (a previous employer). My boss swiftly fired Span and hired Carlile. Now if you go on national TV and your drivers are screwing up, who in Alaska will hire you? |

One correction AR.....Carlile's terminal is in Tacoma, they just built a bigger and better yard in what we call the tide flats. It has pier access. |

Oh, by the way....some of us have been in the freight business for many years and understand how it works. |

True but some folks have not and some don't understand the how to get the freight from down there to up here. So I thought I would try to explain I did not mean to insult anyone intelligence. |
